School-Based Tutoring

Test Prep Workshops
Standardized tests can be a major source of stress—but with the right support, they can also become powerful stepping stones to college. Our affordable, high-impact SAT prep workshops have helped students boost their scores and, in many cases, become the first in their families to attend college.
Led by experienced specialists, our workshops are tailored to meet each student’s unique strengths and needs. Last year alone, students in our SAT workshops saw an average score increase of over 100 points!
Helping Rising Sun Students Build Careers
Aspire has partnered with Rising Sun Center for Opportunity for nearly a decade to support participants in its Opportunity Build program – a 12-month job readiness initiative for adults pursuing careers in construction or union apprenticeships. During the program’s initial three-month training phase, Aspire tutors lead a dedicated math class to help participants build the foundational skills needed to succeed on apprenticeship entrance exams and take a critical step toward a stable, living-wage career.
In-School Support
Aspire partners with schools and fellow nonprofits to provide high-quality, in-person tutoring during the school day or after school. Whether working one-on-one or with small groups, our tutors support students in the subjects where they need it most—building skills, confidence, and momentum.

After-School Tutoring at the Boys & Girls Club
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF), Aspire provides specialized afterschool tutoring for students from kindergarten to high school in subjects ranging from early literacy to AP Chemistry. More than just academic tutors, our team members serve as trusted mentors who guide their students, building meaningful relationships that inspire confidence and growth far beyond the classroom. Each year, Aspire supports over 300 students at BGCSF clubhouses across the city, helping them succeed academically and thrive holistically.
